Pets In Need is a Bay Area nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the human-animal bond and supporting families in caring for their pets. With physical locations in Palo Alto and Redwood City, we provide pet adoption services, low-cost veterinary care, spay and neuter programs, behavior support, and community education designed to keep pets healthy and loved at home.

Beyond adoption and veterinary services, Pets In Need offers meaningful volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, students, and corporate groups who want to make a hands-on difference for animals in our region. From working directly with shelter pets to supporting community clinics and outreach programs, volunteers are an essential part of our mission. By keeping pets healthy, helping families access care, and inviting neighbors to get involved, we strengthen the well-being of both animals and the communities we serve, including Los Altos and surrounding areas.
