Benefits of Membership

Membership in the Los Altos Village Association shows support for a vibrant and active Downtown Los Altos.

Membership is voluntary and helps fund efforts to promote the Downtown area through various local advertising mediums, such as newspaper, radio, e-mail blasts, and social media posts.

Additional funds raised by the Los Altos Arts & Wine Festival, and the Spring and Summer Wine Walks, help with administrative costs, expenses for other special events and charitable donations that benefit the community at large.

LAVA membership is open to businesses in the Downtown Los Altos triangle (bordered by San Antonio Road, Foothill Expressway & Edith Avenue), companies looking to do business in Downtown, and residents of Los Altos.

Business Membership includes:

  • Free listing in the Business Directory of the LAVA web site

  • Complimentary postings of business-related events on the LAVA web site calendar and social media pages

  • Discounts on sponsorship and advertising for LAVA special events, such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Farmers’ Market, Los Altos Arts & Wine Festival, Holiday Stroll, Wine Walks, etc.

  • Opportunities to participate in LAVA-organized promotions and advertising, when appropriate

  • Opportunities to participate in LAVA educational meetings and social events to make business and personal contacts with other Los Altos business and property owners.

  • Opportunities to contribute your talents and expertise to the community through membership on working committees and volunteerism

  • Members may be nominated for election to the LAVA Board of Directors
