Gallery 9 serves as the oldest art gallery in Los Altos. It was originally established in 1970 in Menlo Park by a cooperative group of nine artists — hence its name. Gallery 9 moved to Los Altos in 1973 and to this day some of the earliest members are still with the Gallery.

Today's membership stands at about thirty and consists of a diverse group of talented local artists who work in various media, including painting, printmaking, photography, jewelry, ceramics, and glass art.

The members regularly debut new work, and each month a different artist is featured in a solo exhibition. Gallery 9 is always staffed by an artist who is happy to answer questions, share insights, and talk about their process.
