"Bringing our Community Together to Share the Warmth of the Holiday Season"
Since 1977, the Los Altos Festival of Lights Parade has celebrated the beginning of the Holiday Season in Downtown Los Altos. The theme “A Child’s Holiday Fantasy” comes to life with colorful floats, local high school marching bands and costumed characters -- all lit up with thousands of lights. And of course Santa and his reindeer!
The parade is produced by the Los Altos Festival of Lights Association, a non-profit, all volunteer organization of community members. Funding is provided by community grants and donations from our generous spectators.

Snapology of Mountain View is a local, woman-owned, small business that teaches children 2-14 years old STEM/STEAM concepts using LEGO bricks. We aim to inspire confidence and passion for Engineering through play-based programs, and we are proud to offer over 1700hr of curriculum that meets the NGSS and Common Core standard. When children are actively engaged in hands-on, interactive learning activities, their creativity flourishes and they show a greater interest in school. While the kids are having fun with familiar toys, laptops and iPads, we sneak in the educational concepts. Shh, don't tell them it's educational!Snapology of Mountain View is the premier partner for STEAM programs, offering year-round programs in schools, community facilities, homes and parks. A part of the Mountain View High School athletic department, Spartans Sports Camp (SSC) was originally the brainchild of John Payne, a former athletic director at MVHS. The camp’s direction was taken over by MVHS alum Doug Wiersig (‘05), who later enlisted Ricky Appler (‘07). The two worked together with the athletic department of MVHS to secure funds and promote the camp. Soon recruiting future counselors to help promote, Doug and Ricky hired high school students as counselors and began the inaugural day of camp on June 11th, 2012. The camp ran every week from then through the week of June 27th, not including the week of the Fourth of July. The camp continues to benefit the athletic program and has donated over $210,000 since it's inception in 2012. Parents & campers continue to be thrilled with the experiences they have with Spartans Sports Camp, allowing for the camp's continuation. This is now the sixth year of Spartans Sports Camp.
